Sixteen years of listening, learning, and supporting change.

About  Alice

I’m a specialist dietitian with over sixteen years of experience in the NHS, supporting people with complex obesity and long-term health conditions.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across acute hospitals and community services, including specialist Tier 2, 3, and 4 weight management services. I’ve supported thousands of individuals navigating the realities of weight, health, and medical complexity, far beyond what standard diet plans can address.

But my understanding isn’t just clinical. I live with significant chronic health issues myself and have experienced the challenges of accessing healthcare, including stigma. I understand what it really feels like to live in a body that doesn’t fit neatly into healthcare systems,  and how frustrating, exhausting, and isolating that can be.This shapes how I work.

My approach is grounded in clinical expertise, but also in compassion, realism, and respect. There is no judgement here, no one-size-fits-all plans,  just personalised, evidence-based support that meets you where you are.

My Clinical Experience

I have extensive experience working within specialist multidisciplinary teams, supporting individuals with highly complex medical needs.
Specialist obesity services (Tier 2, 3 and 4)
Post-bariatric surgical care
Medically complex weight management
Supporting patients navigating multiple long-term conditions

Beyond Clinical Practice

Alongside my client work, I contribute to improving obesity care at a wider level:

I also work with local authorities across the Midlands and North West, training community health teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
Guest Lecturer at the University of Warwick, teaching medical students about the complexities of obesity, behaviours and nutrition
Research Collaborator with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)
Published Author, contributing to peer-reviewed medical journals
Conference Presenter, including British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS)

Outside of Work

When I’m not working, I’m a mum of two, a stepmum of one, and the owner of a very energetic cockapoo.
I love reading, have far too many houseplants, and will happily spend hours at my sewing machine when I get the chance. And despite being a dietitian,  I absolutely hate cooking!
